A massive 350 million pods are consumed every year in the UK alone, with the majority being single-use/disposable plastic capsules, it's time to rethink the way we are making espresso coffee.
Eco-friendly coffee pods are now widely offered and compatible with most espresso machines. Never heard about them? No problem let's explore this exciting new possibility together.
Obviously, they're the most planet-friendly way to brew with your espresso pod machine but also work out to be cheaper than disposable capsules and give you the freedom to choose your own coffee (we offer this specific ground option to all our coffee orders).
There are three main types of reusable pods to consider: aluminium, stainless steel and compostable. Each one has its particularities when coming to the end of usable life so consider your own eco preferences and the recycling options near you for a green start.
Checking compatibility with your espresso machine is an important step as coffee capsules vary in size from brand to brand. Make sure to read and research the details on the pod of interest to avoid disappointment and risk of damage to your equipment.

grind the coffee/grab your pre-ground beans;

fit the lid as instructed;
pop the capsule into your machine as usual and brew that perfect shot.
